Welcome to the Gate Riding Club

All shows are open to members and non-members. We cater for all ages and abilities, with plenty of encouragement for novice horses and riders through to more experienced combinations. Our qualified judges and officials are always available to offer advice and support.

Members compete for points throughout the season. The highest points achieved for each class and overall points winners are awarded trophies at our annual Dinner and Dance.

There is always a warm welcome for faces old and new!

The Gate Riding Club got its name from the public house of the same name in Nether Whitacre. Although today’s permanent showground is on Coton Lane, Whitacre Heath. The Riding Club held its first show in a field by the pub, owned by Mr Fred Dale.
